Caitlin Clark Breaks Division I Scoring Record

Iowa Hawkeyes Star Makes History Again

After a record-breaking March Madness run, Caitlin Clark has now broken the Division I women's single-season 3-point record of 154, set by Idaho's Taylor Pierce. Clark scored her record-breaking points in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament against Illinois State.

Clark made history once again on Sunday, breaking the Division I record for total points. She also broke the NCAA Division I scoring record, which was previously held by Cheryl Miller of USC. Clark's record-breaking performance came in a 106-82 win over the Ohio State Buckeyes. She finished the game with 35 points, giving her a total of 3,500 points for her career.

Clark has averaged 138 three-point attempts per game this year, which would be well on target to break the record for most three-pointers made in a single season. The Iowa Hawkeyes star went into Sunday's game against the Ohio State Buckeyes needing 18 points to break the record. She reached the milestone with a three-pointer in the first quarter.

Clark's record-breaking performance is a testament to her hard work and dedication. She is one of the most talented players in the country and has been a key part of Iowa's success this season. The Hawkeyes are now 29-5 overall and are the No. 2 seed in the Bridgeport Region of the NCAA Tournament. They will face No. 7 seed Creighton in the second round on Monday.
